How can Phoenix Brass make great-quality so affordable?

When you buy an instrument from a bricks and mortar store, the factory needs to make money, the brand needs to make money, the local distributor wants their cut, and the retail store who actually sells you the instrument are left to pay their significant overheads on the razor-thin margins left over for them.

We are able to provide amazing quality instruments for such an afforable price for several reasons:

1. We work directly with the people who are building instruments - including the manufactures used by some of the big-name brands!

2. We've cut out all the people in the middle who don't do anything except taking their cut.

3. As an online store that is owner-run, we have much lower overheads that a normal retailer.

4. We care less about making money and more about removing barriers so that everyone who wants to play a brass instrument can afford to do so.

5. We're simply not charging customers the usual premium that all the well-known brand-names do just for the privledge of having their logo on something.

That means more people can make music;

we think that's worth every cent!

The Other Way We're Different

At Phoenix Brass, our goal is to make music accessible to everyone. That's why we offer a variety of payment options, including some you won't find at any other musical instrument retailer in Australia.

• Standard Payment Plans: We’ve got all the usual payment options covered, including Zip, PayPal Pay-in-4, and AfterPay.

• Rent-to-Own: What’s unique to Phoenix Brass is our Rent-to-Own scheme for our standard instruments. You'll put down a 25% deposit, and the rest is split into a simple monthly payment over 6, 12, 18, or 24 months. You won't pay extra—you just get more time to pay for the instrument you love.

• Scholarships/Loaned Instruments: We get it. Sometimes, even these options aren't enough. We've been there, so we understand. That’s why we might even be able to offer you an instrument on loan until your situation improves. To qualify, all you need to do is join a local community ensemble, rehearse and perform with them regularly, and send us updates about your musical journey from time to time.
